Our Updated (2017) Rugby Facility Proposal (Click Here)
Since the early 1970's rugby has been a part of the community in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Hundreds of men and women have lived, breathed, and played the sport of rugby, dedicating themselves to the extreme lifestyle. This dedication has led former players to organize, coach, and fund many rugby teams in the Kalamazoo area. Which includes the: Kalamazoo Rugby Football Club (Men's), Western Michigan University Club (Men's & Women's), and Kalamazoo High School Clubs (Portage & Richland).

Many of these team's alumni have stayed in the Kalamazoo area and continue to be a positive part of our community. They have raised their families here, worked for businesses and schools here, and have always strived to make our area a better place to live. The effort, time, and funds that every player and supporter puts into our rugby club has always proven to be worthwhile. When ruggers move into the Kalamazoo area, they often seek out the local rugby team, and they are never disappointed by what the Kalamazoo rugby teams have to offer.

Today, the direction of rugby is extremely positive. In the last 15 years, the total rugby players in the area has doubled to around 200 active players. We've seen the start and successes of the high school programs, the Portage "Muskies" and Kalamazoo "Bull Dogs", which were both started, and are currently ran, by previous members of the KRFC Men's team. It is a great time to be part of rugby in our area!

Our rugby community has also realized their dream of purchasing property to build a complex dedicated to rugby. We currently own 14 acres just North of Downtown off Nichols Rd. The goal of this campaign is to raise funds to build a dedicated facility to promote and harbor the sport and culture of rugby in our community. We are very excited to build and maintain the kind of playing facility that will push the limits of rugby success both on and off the field in Kalamazoo.

As we are a non-profit and strictly volunteer organized, all money donated will go directly towards our operations and rugby facility construction. Please help us turn this dream into a reality by donating to the campaign.
